Hi
I’ve used Angelnav in anger for the first time today, for a passage of 44 miles from Fair Isle to Westray in Orkney. This was enlivened by a GPS outage, lasting about 25 minutes affecting both the boat’s main gps and my iPad.
The strong tides in this area change significantly from hour to hour, both in speed and direction within a single tide. I couldn’t see a way to create a chain of tidal vectors to cover the whole trip, and so resorted to my usual method of drawing the vectors on graph paper, and producing a single vector to give a course to steer for the whole passage of about 8 hours. Is there a way to do this within the app?
Thanks
Martin
