AngelNav website

I use angelnav in my local waters for both cruising and racing and have accumulated quite a number of waypoints.

Is there any way that waypoints can be hidden and/or put into folders, eg a racing folder and a cruising folder. I'm planning a trip to Cowes and as you can see in the attached screenshot Guernsey has all but disappeared ! For planning purposes, it would be great to see a chart with no waypoints on.

Hi Andy,

There are a few different ways you can hide and manage waypoints:

  1. Uncheck 'Show Waypoints' in the chart view menu will hide all waypoints
  2. If you have multiple routes, you can set 'Hide waypoints when inactive' in Settings. This will hide any waypoints that are part of a non-active route
  3. You can also export and import waypoints (and routes) so that you could keep different sets on file, then import them when you need them.

If you go for option 3, I recommend saving them all first (Extras: Chart data: Backup), then deleting the ones that you don't want, exporting the remainder into a set, then deleting them all before restoring from backup and repeating the process.
