AngelNav website

Hello,

First of all think it’s a great app, and nav tool. Has the remove chart work check box gone on the last update?
And the other thing I find is that when using to navigate towards a way point, the track line leaves the boats path, but quite a lot of the time the projected heading course over ground info in the pink top bar seems to freeze, the ipad is being used on deck and not below. Thanks.

Cheers Andy

Hi Andy,

Thanks for your question and we are delighted you like the app! The 'remove chart work' button used to be in Settings which seemed a bit counter-intuitive, so we moved it to the new Chart Data section in Extras. This allows you to delete chart work, waypoints, routes and notes, as well as backing them all up (and restoring them).

Can you expand on what you mean by 'the track line leaves the boat's path (maybe add a screen shot?). Also does the COG value in the pink top bar not update appropriately? (If you long tap on the boat icon you will get a display of boat information including the COG - these values should update together.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for the reply, found it, that’s great you can backup and restore chart work.
What i mean by the track line is the red dotted line left behind the boat appears to accurate, and the green dot flashing indicating gps postion, but the projected course line and COG value freezes, next time I’m out and if it happens I’ll check if the boat info is the same as pink bar, and screen shot if different.

Cheers Andy

HI Andy,

Thanks for the clarification. The other thing to look out for is the colour of the boat symbol which changes to light blue if there has not been a position update within the previous 10 seconds, though a flash of the green dot indicates that the position has been updated.

The only other thing I can think of is that the processor is struggling to update the display. If it happens again you could try unchecking 'Show Tracks' in the Chart Info menu to see if that eliminates the problem.
