AIS not displaying Data

Hi All,

I love my AngelNav app. I’d like to display my AIS data however. I have an Emtrak WiFi broadcasting AIS which shows all relevant data on my Navionics app, but not on AngelNav. I THINK I have followed the instructions correctly, and I have the AngelNav AIS subscription ~ I have tried both signal K and NMEA in the settings and neither seem to work, although on the NMEA setting there seems to be additional inputs required which are beyond my understanding… I have attached. Screenshot showing the NMEA selection and the Signal K configuration - which indicates a default demo server address.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me please?

I'm sorry that it's not working! It looks like you have AngelNav set up for SignalK, and I am not sure whether the Emtrak unit supports that.

Please can you send a screen shot of your settings in the Navionics app? That will help us get the correct settings for AngelNav.

Hi Stuart,

Sorry - missed the second screen shot and I see you have also tried NMEA. There are three crucial settings for this:

The protocol (which probably should be TCP)
The Host - this is the IP address of the Emtrak
The port - this needs to match that used by the Emtrak

The values you need will be found either in the Emtrak manual, or in the settings for Navionics (since this is working they must be correct there), or on the internet.

I am not sure exactly what model you have, but I found this article which suggests the following:

Protocol: TCP
IP address: 192.168.2.1
IP port: 5000

Try putting these into Settings, the slide the Connected button to on. If it's working you will see the GPS and AIS activity lights flashing.
